            COMMUNICATIONS TOWER RESCUE SEMINARS

Communications Tower Rescue Seminar

Two “Communications Tower Rescue” Seminars will be offered , sessions are being

offered at two different dates and times to accommodate those who wish to attend, both

sessions are identical.

These seminars concentrate on “Ground Up” Rescue techniques, i.e. gaining access to a

victim who is suspended and/or injured at height , stabilize the victim, then lowering the

victim for further treatment and transport. This will utilize technical rope rescue

techniques which may be required due to remote tower locations or an inability to access

the victim with aerial devices due to terrain or height.

(The Seminar may be attended as an active participant or as an observer)

DATES AND TIMES:

1st Seminar - Saturday, September 12, 2015 , 9:00AM to 5:00PM

2nd Seminar—Wednesday, September 16, 2015, 9:00AM to 5:00PM

LOCATION:

Herkimer County Communications Tower Site, 1651 Dairy Hill Rd, Norway, NY

PREREQUESITE AND EQUIPMENT:

Active participants are required to have previous high angle training and/or experience.

Active participants are required to have a Class III harness, rescue/USAR helmet,

extrication or rope rescue gloves and protective boots.

There is NO Charge for the Seminar. Participants should bring a lunch and drinks to keep

hydrated during the session.
